What are acoustical ceilings?
Acoustical, or acoustic, ceilings—also called suspended ceilings—are commonly found in commercial architecture, from corporate offices to doctors’ offices and more. Acoustic ceiling tiles (lay-in grid systems) hang below the structural/main ceiling and use a grid layout of metal channels suspended by inverted T-bars and wiring.
